GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS HOTEL EGERKINGEN AG

1. General Information

These General Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to contracts of Hotel Egerkingen AG, Oltnerstrasse 22, 4622 Egerkingen.


2. Reservation and Confirmation

Reservations are confirmed to the customer in writing. The contract is concluded as soon as the signed reservation confirmation letter has been received by Hotel Egerkingen AG within the specified period.


3. Changes to reservations

The number of people confirmed in writing serves as a guideline for the provision of food and beverages. Changes to reservations must be communicated to Hotel Egerkingen AG in writing as early as possible. The exact number of participants/guests can be adjusted up to 2 business days (1 business day = 24 hours, Mon-Fri) before the event by up to 10% of the confirmed number of people.


4. Payment and warranty information

During check-in and for specific events, we collect your credit card details solely to secure your booking (guarantee). Your credit card will not be charged unless you use additional services or in the case of contractually agreed cancellations or damages. The data is stored securely and used exclusively for this purpose.


5. Cancellation conditions

The following conditions apply to cancellations.


a) by the ordering party/customer:

  • 8 or more working days before the event, free of charge
  • 7 to 3 working days before the event: 50% of the agreed room rental fee.
  • 7 to 3 working days before the event: 50% of the agreed menu price (food) and 50% of other additional costs.
  • Less than 3 working days before the event: 100% of the agreed room rental, 100% of the agreed menu price (food) and 100% of other additional costs.


b) Through Hotel Egerkingen AG:

  • Hotel Egerkingen AG reserves the right to cancel reservations without liability for damages in the event of an emergency. In such cases, Hotel Egerkingen AG will endeavor to provide the customer with an alternative room if possible.
  • If Hotel Egerkingen AG has reason to believe that the event booked by the customer jeopardizes the smooth operation of the business, the safety or the reputation of the establishment, the event may be cancelled without compensation.

 

6. No-Shows

No-shows will be charged at 100% (menu price and additional costs).


7. Special Services

Special services, whether technical or otherwise, require a certain amount of preparation time. In the event of a cancellation, Hotel Egerkingen AG reserves the right to charge for any costs already incurred.


8. Prices / Payment Terms

The prices stated in the booking confirmation are binding. For events extending beyond midnight, a night surcharge of CHF 60.00 per employee per hour (or part thereof) will be charged separately, as well as any additional costs for necessary permits. Employee costs will be communicated in advance.

The invoice amount is due for payment without deduction no later than 30 days after the invoice date. Hotel Egerkingen AG may require a prepayment of at least 20% for quotes exceeding CHF 5,000.00.


9. Corkage fee and fork fee

  • For wines and sparkling wines brought in by guests, Hotel Egerkingen AG charges a corkage fee of CHF 25.00 per 75cl bottle.
  • Hotel Egerkingen AG charges a corkage fee of CHF 40.00 per 75cl bottle for spirits brought in by guests.
  • Hotel Egerkingen AG charges a fork fee of CHF 2.40 per person for cakes, tarts and other desserts brought in by guests.

 

10. Price change

Price adjustments and changes are expressly reserved. Any deviations will be communicated to the organizer in writing.

All prices are in CHF and include 8% VAT. In the event of a VAT change, prices will be adjusted accordingly.


11. Damages and Liability

The customer must exercise all due care when using the premises. The customer and event organizer are liable for all property damage and personal injury, including any consequential damages, caused during their stay by themselves, their agents, and guests to Hotel Egerkingen AG, its employees, or third parties. Hotel Egerkingen AG is released from any liability to third parties in connection with events organized by the customer.

Hotel Egerkingen AG is not liable for items brought onto the premises by the customer, their representatives, or guests. Any necessary insurance is the responsibility of the customer.


12. Newspaper advertisements and other advertising

Newspaper advertisements and other advertising referring to Hotel Egerkingen AG generally require the prior written consent of Hotel Egerkingen AG.


13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These general terms and conditions, as well as any contracts concluded on their basis, are governed by Swiss law. The place of performance and jurisdiction is agreed to be Olten/SO.
