History

ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL SWISS TV SERIES PLAYED AT THE “MOTEL EGERKINGEN”

The Hotel Egerkingen is not only a well-known place to stay for travelers and business people, but also a historical location for film and television productions. One of the most successful Swiss TV series of the 1980s, which still enjoys cult status today, was filmed here: The "Motel Egerkingen".

The series with its 40 episodes was a real "street sweeper" and attracted a lot of attention in Switzerland and beyond. The plot revolved around the experiences and adventures of the guests and employees of the fictional motel Egerkingen, which was a popular meeting place for travelers due to its location at a major transport hub.
